Effective communication and navigation are essential requirements for autonomous systems.  This session examines the roles of autonomous systems in facilitating communication through the air-sea interface, advanced navigation and control systems to minimize complexities for the operator, and   examples of how precision navigation can allow safely around offshore structures and in shallow water heavily trafficked port environments.
