The Oi & MTS Golf Tournament

• The San Diego Chapter of the Marine Technology Society is pleased to bring a fun-filled Golf event to be held the day before Oceanology International Americas. Come and compete for your part of over $1,000 in prize monies and try for the $5,000 hole-in-one prize.

  The Scramble format tournament is open to everyone. The handicapping system equalizes the tournament for all - whether you are a scratch golfer or have never played before – giving equal chance of winning to all players.

• Event Details

  The event will be held early in the morning at the San Diego River Walk Golf Course on Sunday, February 24, 2019, starting promptly at 7:30 am. The River Walk course is a 10-minute drive from downtown and can be accessed from downtown or the hotel circle area via the public Trolley. A Lunch and raffle will be served at the end of the game.
  
  Player count is limited, so please sign up quickly to secure your spot as registration reservations have already started.
  
  Date: Sunday, February 24, 2019
  
  Time: Shotgun Start at 7:30 am. Please arrive to the course at least ½ hour prior to be assigned your team and cart and to proceed to your starting hole.

  Cost: $105/player; Includes tournament, Driving Range Balls, Lunch, Golf Cart, and Goodies Bag, and helps fund the San Diego MTS High School Internship Program. RENTAL CLUBS: $45. If you need Rental Clubs, please inform MTS directly so that we can coordinate with the course to assure enough clubs are available for all players who need them.
  
  Format: 18-hole Scramble format. Up to 72 players. Prizes will be awarded and will use a handicapping system to allow non-player to compete equally with scratch golfers for an equal chance to win for all.
  
  Prizes: Top 3 teams; Top 2 individual scores (handicapped score); Longest Drive (2); Closest to the pin (2); Hole-in-one contests.

  Our Sponsorship items will give your business the opportunity to be seen by visitors before the show and make vital connections with visitors face-to-face in a relaxed and formal setting.
  
  Each of the holes, the prizes, and the lunch are available to sponsor and will include: your company logo on the sponsored hole or prize location, inclusion of a brochure/leaflet in the 'Goodie-bag' which will be given to all of the players, your logo printed on the sponsorship banner, and your logo on the MTS Golf event website.

• Please note that this charity event will assist to sponsor the MTS San Diego Chapter’s high School STEM (Science Technology and Math) internship program, which annually connects numerous amazingly talented high school students to the Marine Sciences and Marine Technology corporations in the San Diego area.
